Your situation is very complex. It should start with the fact that the patient in whom the swab was taken is advised to postpone the date of vaccination - the decision on this matter should be made in consultation, e.g. with the pediatrician by phone. There is also the question, have you informed the doctor qualifying for vaccination that the child is waiting for the result of the swab and may be infected? It should also be remembered that a child who was waiting in line for vaccination and was infected with coronavirus was a real threat to everyone with whom he was staying - not only patients, but also medical staff. According to the position of the World Health Organization, asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection is not a medical contraindication to vaccination. In connection with the planned vaccination, there are no recommendations to perform tests for SARS-CoV-2, both in the patient and in the health care staff, although after taking the swab - it is recommended that the patient wait for the result of the test and - if he receives a negative result - only take the vaccine. In the first place, you should report this matter to the Sanitary and Epidemiological Station and the vaccination point, so that all people who have been in contact with the child are notified about it, because the risk of infection is, unfortunately, very high. You should also consult your GP or paediatrician immediately by phone.
