Zgodnie z Charakterystyką Produktu Leczniczego Protopic:
"Maść Protopic można stosować na każdą część ciała (...) z wyjątkiem błon śluzowych."
Dermitopic można stosować bardzo cienką warstwą na powierzchnię skóry miejsc intymnych i odbytu pod warunkiem, że tak zalecił lekarz, natomiast nie należy smarować nią błon śluzowych.
