Dziecko powinien zbadać lekarz rodzinny lub pediatra, gdyż nie ma możliwości określenia, co jest przyczyną kaszlu i postawienia diagnozy przez internet bez osłuchania malucha. Nie należy podawać dzieciom leków "w ciemno", tym bardziej tych na receptę, gdyż może to być groźne dla ich zdrowia i życia. Sposób postępowania należy omówić z lekarzem.

Do momentu kontaktu z lekarzem dziecko nie powinno chodzić do przedszkola.
