Is my gynecological condition something serious?

For 4 weeks I have been struggling with vaginal discharge in the vaginal area. M.in burning and itching to this often urinates. It intensifies most in the evening before bed . I used over-the-counter medications but they only helped for a while. Is it something serious? Cystitis? I admit that I feel terrible discomfort because it interferes with my everyday life.
