Lek Aklief zawiera substancję czynną trifaroten, która należy do leków z grupy retinoidów. Trifaroten należy do grupy retynoidów, ale nie jest to substancja tożsama z retinolem - trifaroten to nie retinol, zatem nie ma możliwości porównania go z zawartością retinolu w produktach kosmetycznych.
