Is this normal after childbirth and at the beginning of hormonal contraception? Is it a matter of poorly selected tablets? When should I start worrying?

Good morning, 12 week. ago I gave birth to SN. After 5 weeks I got the first period, which lasted 6 days (I did not feed and do not breastfeed). The doctor prescribed me new birth control pills (two-component), which I started taking on the first day of the cycle (the second period I got after 29 days). I take the tablets regularly, but the period is already 13 days and does not promise to end. In addition, it is more painful than before. Is this normal after childbirth and at the beginning of hormonal contraception? Is it a matter of poorly selected tablets? When should I start worrying? I would add that cytology came out fine.
