Jeśli stan pacjenta nie jest ciężki i w ogóle można odroczyć przyjmowanie antybiotyku nie stwarzając zagrożenia dla zdrowia, to o ile lekarz nie zaleci inaczej, antybiotyk zaleca się stosować ok. 14 dni po podaniu szczepionki.
Jeśli jest to druga dawka - zazwyczaj terapię można przyspieszyć i rozpocząć 8 dnia, jednak decyzję w tym temacie musi podjąć lekarz.
