If melanoma has been completely cured and there are no signs of recurrence, the use of the preparation may be considered after consultation with the treating physician.
Intrarosa (prasterone) acts locally within the vagina and is used to treat the symptoms of urogenital atrophy after menopause. Melanoma is not listed as an absolute contraindication to its use. However, it should be remembered that prasterone is a precursor of sex hormones, so in patients with a history of cancer, the decision on therapy should be made individually.
