Good afternoon. Menopause began about 8 years ago. But HRT was taken by him, so I had multinodular fibroids at 9 weeks of pregnancy, then the size of the fibroids decreased and I used femoston for 3 months, but 1 more node appeared. I stopped taking femoston, if I start taking valgirux, will this provoke an increase in the nodes?

I understand your concerns – the issue of fibroids when using hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is often a balancing act between the comfort of life and monitoring changes in the uterus.
In your situation, you need to be careful. Uterine fibroids are hormone-dependent changes, which means that their growth is stimulated mainly by estrogens and often also by progestogens. Therefore, any hormone therapy — like Femoston — can affect their growth or the appearance of new lesions.
Valgirux (valacyclovir), will not affect the growth of fibroids because it does not contain hormones. It contains ingredients with hormonal effects (especially estrogenic). The fact that a new lump appeared during the previous therapy suggests that your body reacts to hormones in this way.
