Is it possible that after the first dose of antibiotics, the child's temperature dropped so quickly from a high fever to normal?

Hello, is there a possibility that after 1 dose of antibiotic my son got it at 1 p.m., currently the temperature is 36.7, and by noon 38 on the night before, 40 degrees.

Yes, such an improvement in temperature after the first dose of antibiotics in a child is possible, although antibiotics usually begin to act on a bacterial infection after a few hours or days, and a rapid decrease in fever may result from the natural course of the disease, the effects of antipyretic drugs (e.g. paracetamol or ibuprofen) or the child's body.

The current temperature of 36.7°C is within normal (36.6-37.5°C), which is a good sign, but please continue to administer the antibiotic as recommended by your doctor and monitor your son's condition. If fever rises again above 38.5°C, other symptoms (e.g. drowsiness, lack of appetite), please consult a paediatrician.
