The HPV vaccine is a prescription drug and cannot be purchased or administered from a pharmacy without a prescription.
In Poland, HPV vaccination is carried out as part of vaccination programs, where children and adolescents up to 18 years of age can receive the vaccine free of charge on the basis of a prescription with an appropriate reimbursement code. For adults, the vaccine is available for a fee with a doctor's prescription.
Pharmacies can perform vaccinations, but it is necessary to obtain a prescription in advance and be qualified by medical staff or a pharmacist with the appropriate qualifications. In Pruszków, as well as throughout Poland, it is not possible to obtain the HPV vaccine in a pharmacy without a prescription from a doctor.
