Proursan (ursodeoxycholic acid) is not a drug that directly reduces the secretion of digestive juices or significantly slows down digestion. Its main action concerns bile – it liquefies it, improves its flow and helps dissolve some gallstones.
However, some people may experience mild gastrointestinal ailments, such as diarrhoea, bloating or abdominal discomfort, but this is not due to the inhibition of the secretion of digestive juices. If you notice a marked deterioration in digestion after the drug, it is worth consulting a doctor to assess the tolerance of the therapy.
