Swollen cheek from the tooth.
I have a broken upper tooth, I think 5. It hurt terribly. It stopped hurting and they gave me the antibiotic clyndamycin in the ER. How long will it take for the swelling to go down? He is even under the eye.

Clindamycin is a drug used to treat bacterial infections.
If the swelling is due to a bacterial infection of strains that are sensitive to this antibiotic, the drug used correctly (by eliminating the cause of the swelling) should contribute to accelerating the process of its resorption.

If you are to take the drug twice a day and you took the first dose at 8 a.m., the evening dose should be taken at 8 p.m.

It is impossible to clearly determine how long after the start of therapy you will observe complete resolution of the swelling. In most patients, the effects of the preparation are noticeable as early as 2-3 days after starting to use the drug.
Please remember that regular intake of the drug is crucial during antibiotic therapy - you should strictly follow the use of the preparation at the times set by the doctor.
