Is it possible to get pregnant if the sperm after intercourse landed on the floor and after 13 hours I accidentally fell a sanitary pad in this place?

Is there a chance of getting pregnant if the sperm after intercourse was left on the floor and after 13 hours I put on a sanitary pad, it fell in the same place where I ejaculated, I put it on without paying attention and wore it?

I forgot to add that the sanitary pad fell off with the side that later touches the vagina.

Your question is not stupid – many people have similar concerns, and knowledge on this subject can bring peace of mind.

1. Can sperm after 8 hours on the floor lead to pregnancy?

No, even after 8 hours, the risk of pregnancy is practically zero. Spermatozoids outside the body quickly lose their ability to move and fertilize, especially when the sperm dries up. The conditions on the bathroom floor (contact with air, temperature, humidity) accelerate this process.

2. Can sperm survive on the bathroom floor?

Under ideal conditions (heat, humidity), spermatozoids can survive a little longer, but after a few hours, and especially after 8, they are already inactive and unable to fertilize.

I'm afraid it could have been 8 hours. Will sperm not be able to fertilize after such a time? It seems like a very stupid question, but it keeps me awake at night. Is sperm able to dry in 8 hours even in the bathroom on the floor?

So even if the sanitary pad went to the place where the injection was and there was a lot of sperm, after such a long time there would be no way to get pregnant? And after 8 hours from such a situation it is possible ? Thank you very much in advance for your answer

The risk of pregnancy in this case is practically zero. Spermatozoids in sperm quickly lose their ability to fertilize after drying and for a long time, especially in conditions such as those described – on the floor for 13 hours. Even if the sanitary pad was in contact with the place where the sperm was, the spermatozoids would not be able to fertilize the egg. In such cases, pregnancy is not possible.
