Hello, can the antibiotic Ospamox 1000 be dissolved in a small amount of water, or divided into more than half parts? The internist told me that I could easily dissolve it, but the leaflet does not mention it.

Information contained in the summary of product characteristics:
'Ospamox 1000 mg:
The film-coated tablets are white or cream-coloured, oval, biconvex, with a score on both sides. The tablet can be divided into equal doses.
The film-coated tablets should be swallowed without chewing with water."
This also means that the tablets should not be chewed.
Your doctor may recommend a different way of administering the medicine if he or she thinks it is necessary.
