Should you take Qlaira as prescribed by your doctor?

I am 46 years old. my period stopped, 2 weeks after the due date I am already here, the doctor today prescribed me Qlaira for 336 days but he told me to take it continuously, no breaks. Is that ok, I will add that I have not taken birth control pills for over 10 years. Thank you

Please follow your doctor's instructions. If you have any doubts about the appropriateness of the therapy, consult your doctor. The basis for the success of the therapy is the patient's full trust in the doctor who takes care of him.

Qlaira is a contraceptive, but it also makes up for hormonal deficiencies.

According to the summary of product characteristics, the tablets should be taken in the order indicated on the pack, at approximately the same time of day each day, with a small amount of liquid if necessary. The tablets are taken continuously. You should take one tablet a day for 28 consecutive days. Each subsequent pack should be started the day after the last tablet in the previous pack. Withdrawal bleeding usually starts when you take the last tablets in the pack and may not end until the next pack is started. In some women, bleeding begins after taking the first tablets from the new pack.
