Stymen is a preparation containing prasterone, indicated for use in people over 18 years of age to supplement dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) deficiencies in men with laboratory-confirmed DHEA deficiency. It should not be used to increase testosterone above the norm, only in case of DHEA deficiency. By supplying DHEA to the body above the norm, there is an increase in the risk of m.in side effects, such as prostate enlargement, acne, alopecia, water and salt retention, nausea and vomiting.
