Rotaviruses are a group of viruses that cause acute infectious gastroenteritis mainly in children up to 5 years of age. Infection can occur as a result of non-compliance with hygiene rules, when contacting contaminated objects or by drip. The most effective way to protect against getting sick is vaccination, which further reduces the risk of dangerous complications.
