How to change contraceptive pills from combined to one-component pills?

I would like to switch from two-component Daylette tablets to one-component tablets due to the fact that I am a person over 30 years of age. I am a smoker and I think it would be a safer alternative, do I have to finish the whole package and only after placebo switch to other one-component or can I at any other time?? Best regards

Two procedures are usually recommended. The first is to use a new 1-component drug on the first day after taking the last active tablet of the previously used combined contraceptive. The second is to start using the new contraception at the latest on the day following the usual break in the pills of the previous combined contraceptive. Then, during the first 7 days of taking the pills, it is recommended to use an additional mechanical method of contraception. These are general rules, but you should also check what the manufacturer of your new drug recommends - you did not write the name and follow the instructions of doctors (perhaps for some reason there are different).
