Why do I not feel threads from Miren and are strong cramps a cause for concern?

Last week I had a Mirena insole on. From the day of the foundation, he does not feel the threads at all. I have already had one sexual intercourse and my partner said that something had forged him in the glans of his penis. On the day of establishment I had strong contractions, today there were also very strong contractions. Should I worry? Why can't I feel the threads from the insert myself?

The patient can independently check whether the threads of the system are in the right place - for this, you need to carefully insert your finger into the vagina and check for the presence of threads close to the cervix. Since I do not know how you tried to locate the threads, it is difficult for me to answer why you do not feel them. Perhaps it is worth asking for help from a gynecologist to teach you to check for the presence of threads in the cervical part of the vagina, because this is one of the ways to make sure that the system has not fallen out and moved. Self-control is recommended when using the Mirena system. Some women experience pain (as with menstrual pain) for the first few weeks after putting the system in place. Pain that is acute, persistent, accompanied by fever or other disturbing symptoms should prompt the patient to visit a doctor. You should go to the doctor or clinic again if there is acute pain or the pain persists for more than 3 weeks from the date of insertion of the Mirena system. There should be no situation when the lower part of the system is felt in the vagina or when a woman or partner feels pain or discomfort during sexual intercourse. The doctor should check the presence of the system within 4 to 12 weeks of its insertion. However, if you are concerned, you can visit earlier - only an ultrasound examination allows you to confirm that the system is in the uterus and has the correct location.
