Is the period that appeared earlier a normal situation after taking EllaOne?
Hello. From the night of December 26 to 27, my partner and I had intercourse, which did not end inside, but to be sure I took an EllaOne tablet (20 hours after intercourse). Today, December 28, I got a period that theoretically was supposed to start in about a week. My cycle usually lasts about 40 days. I don't have any symptoms after the drug, such as headache or nausea. Bleeding is no more abundant than usual and menstruation itself is also not more painful. Is the period that appeared earlier a normal situation? I will add that two months ago I started taking Fluoxetine for depression.

Według informacji producenta, po przyjęciu tabletki ellaOne krwawienie miesiączkowe może wystąpić o kilka dni wcześniej lub później niż przewidywane. U około 7% kobiet krwawienie miesiączkowe występowało o ponad 7 dni wcześniej niż spodziewane. U około 18,5% kobiet doszło do opóźnienia krwawienia miesiączkowego o ponad 7 dni, a u 4% kobiet opóźnienie wyniosło powyżej 20 dni. W związku z tym sytuacja, gdy krwawienie wystąpiło 7 dni wcześniej może być naturalną reakcją. Gdyby jednak coś się zmieniło - krwawienie było zbyt obfite, pojawiły się inne, niepokojące objawy - warto skontaktować się z lekarzem.
Nie znalazłam informacji, aby fluoksetyna wchodziła w istotne interakcje z octanem uliprystalu, czyli składnikiem Ella One.
