Can I use Fevarin and Ketrel at the same time?

Can You take Fevarin and Ketrel at the same time? My sister takes Ketrel 1-0-2 and Fevarin has recommended 1 in the morning. In addition to this, he takes Betalog 1 in the morning and Bioptropil 1 in the morning and 1 at noon. The sister is 75 years old. Please reply

Pomiędzy lekami zawartymi w pytaniu zachodzą pewne interakcje. Ze względu na ich charakter i stopień nasilenia, na ogół jest to przeciwwskazanie do jednoczesnego stosowania tych leków.

Połączenie Fevarinu i Ketrelu może zwiększyć ryzyko wzrostu stężenia kwetiapiny (Ketrel) we krwi i nasilenie jej działania. Wzrasta też ryzyko wystąpienia złośliwego zespołu neuroleptycznego oraz arytmii typu TdP. Należy monitorować stan pacjenta i odpowiednio dopasować dawkę.

Stosowanie jednocześnie Ketrelu, Fevarinu i Betalocku może też nasilać działanie hipotensyjne tego ostatniego.

Jeśli zatem zaobserwuje Pani tego typu skutki uboczne, należy poinformować lekarza, który na tej podstawie zdecyduje o dalszym postępowaniu.
