Was the effectiveness of contraception maintained if Yasmin changed to Belara overnight?

Good morning 😊 I have been taking tablets for 8 months, I have been taking Yasmin tablets all the time, a week ago my doctor changed my tablets to Berale due to side effects. I was just after a 7-day break and the day before the visit I took the first tablet from the blister still Yasmin, the next day your doctor advised me to start Belari. Is the effectiveness still maintained, even though I took Yasmin one day and started taking Belare the next day? Should I also protect my partner?
