Salmonella infection is self-limiting – diarrhoea disappears after 4 to 10 days.
Nifuroxazide is highly effective against G- microorganisms such as Salmonella and Klebsiella, m.in. The drug is not absorbed into the gastrointestinal tract and is excreted unchanged from the body.
