Diseases of the blood and hematopoietic system (haematological)
Hello, do elevated pdw mpv p-lcr indicate some disease or are they due to deficiencies? The rest of the results are normal (thyroid, coagulation, urine, etc.)
I've only had an appointment with the doctor for a consultation in a week.
MPV 12.80 (9.4 - 12.5) PDW 16.5 (9.8 - 16.2) P-lcr 47.6% (19.1 - 46.6)

The indicated parameters are one of the numerous parameters determined as part of the blood test:
- MPV or average platelet volume
- PDW, i.e. platelet volume distribution
- P-LCR or Large Platelet Index
All these parameters are related to the size of platelets and the occurrence of an increase in the MPV parameter will affect the increase in the other parameters.
Causes of increased MPV m.in include, m.in, postoperative, hemorrhage, infection, medication and thrombocythemia. It can be a transient and self-transient state.
A full assessment of your blood results should be made by your doctor based on your medical history and additional symptoms, m.in. If you do not want to wait for an in-person appointment, I encourage you to take advantage of the teleconsultation via e.g. the Gdziepolek.pl portal:
