Is it normal to have strong spotting on the third Evra patch?
Hello, I have been using evra contraceptive patches since January, for two days I have had for the second time in the last two months strong spotting during the third, last patch before the period (exactly 9 days before the period) Should I worry about this? I will add that during these spots there are severe pains in the lower abdomen.

If for several months everything was in order, and suddenly there were strong spottings on time when they should not be, then you should consult a gynecologist. When using Evra patches, irregular bleeding (spotting or intermenstrual bleeding) may occur during the first months of their use (in general, during the first three cycles). According to the drug documentation, when bleeding occurs after regular menstrual cycles and Evra has been used as directed, "a different cause of these disorders than the use of the product should be considered".
