Is a pregnancy test performed after petting 4 days after the expected menstrual period reliable?

Good morning. I have a question that bothers me. Together with the partner, we limit ourselves only to petting because he does not feel completely ready for full close-ups. For a few days exactly 7 I am late period. I have long cycles and it is also the case with me that almost always the period comes with a delay. I have read that situations based on petting carry a very small risk of pregnancy. I read an awful lot of various articles on the Internet and on the 4th day after being late I decided to do a test that gave a negative result, it was not from morning urine, sensitivity 25mlU. Today, however, I feel pain in the lower abdomen but still nothing. My question is, does this test after 4 days of being late menstruation give a reliable result? Should I do another one? Should you wait in peace for menstruation? I think that maybe this delay is due to the stress that accompanied me that week because I had a lot on my mind. I would ask for an answer. Best regards.
