What drugs for dry and wet cough do not weaken the effectiveness of contraceptive pills?

Hi for a few days I have been struggling with a suffocating cough, since yesterday I began to break off (wet cough). I take DIONELLE birth control pills and I am afraid to take any medication so that it does not lower the effect of the pills. Can you advise me what syrup or medicine it can take and it was 100% safe and there were no interactions between these drugs and the tablets.
