A 14-year-old child uses Vermox in the amount of 5 tabl. 3 times a day. Can I give him Enterol for diarrhea?

Good morning. A 14.5-year-old child has trichenellosis. We have been drinking Vermox for a week at 5 tons * 3 rubles a day. Diarrhea opened. Can I give him Enterol for diarrhea or not? Should the treatment continue?

First of all, the dosage of Vermox is too high (5 tablets 3 times a day), please add the drug immediately. According to the manufacturer's recommended dosage for mixed infestations, Vermox should be taken 200 mg per day (1 tablet in the morning and 1 tablet in the evening) for 3 consecutive days. Do not give the drug for more than three days.

According to the Summary of Product Characteristics, diarrhoea is a common side effect of Vermox:

Administration of Enterol may help to control diarrhoea, but you should stop taking Vermox and see your doctor immediately. If you do not have the opportunity to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here:

I also encourage you to report the symptoms you are experiencing to your doctor, as well as to report the occurrence of an adverse reaction of the preparation. Reporting side effects allows you to increase control over the medicines available on the market. We wrote more about how and why to report side effects in the article:
