Baclofen is a preparation recommended to reduce and relieve excessive skeletal muscle tension (spasms). Excessive muscle tension can result from various medical conditions, such as cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, strokes, spinal cord injury and other diseases of the nervous system. The drug reduces pain associated with excessive muscle tension and facilitates the patient's rehabilitation.
The decision to recommend Baclofen is made by your doctor based on your m.in medical history. Your doctor may also prescribe this medicine for other cases not described in this leaflet. This therapeutic procedure is referred to as off-label use of the drug. We wrote more about this in the article:
