How to use Metronidazole gel?

Can Metronidazole Jelfa gel be used on the glans penis? How to use it prophylactically? On the leaflet there is information about applying directly to skin lesions. (in my case, no skin lesions, medication prescribed due to my partner's infection).

Use Metronidazole gel as directed by the doctor who prescribed it.

The drug is also used on the foreskin and glans of the penis.

Metronidazole is an antibacterial drug that is particularly effective against anaerobic bacteria. It is also used in protozoal infections. In men, such an infection can be asymptomatic. Please also remember to stop having sex.
