Taking an extra tablet does not affect the effectiveness of contraception.
What if I ate another pill because I thought that one hadn't been absorbed?

Since the tablet has already been absorbed (more than 3-4 hours have passed since you took it), the protection is maintained and there is no need for an additional form of contraception.
