The length of antibiotic treatment is determined by the doctor who ordered Sumamed and knows what exactly is wrong with the child. In general, the doctor issues a prescription for the amount of antibiotic that is enough for the entire treatment. I am also not sure that I understand correctly what medicine you are giving your child. Sumamed Forte is in the form of a suspension and comes in a dosage of 200 mg and it is this form (and not capsules) that would be most suitable for a child - most likely, judging by the weight - about three years old.
