Is Pecto Drill used for dry cough and irritated throat?
For severe sore throat and very tiring attacks of dry throat cough, the doctor prescribed me Pecto Drill today and recommended "suck when I feel the need". I thought it was some kind of throat lozenge, but after reading the leaflet it turned out to be a mucolytic drug. I do not feel that anything is in my bronchi, and the cough is caused by irritation of the throat. Should I use these pills in this regard, or was the doctor simply mistaken?

For @Agaa: Petit Drill syrup has a completely different composition from the Pecto Drill series: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/60853/petit-drill-syrop/apteki Petit Drill is only in syrup form and has no form in lozenges. The syrup is available in online and stationary pharmacies as a preparation without a prescription. Moisturizes and coats the back wall of the throat.
He probably rewrote Petit Drill and not Pecto Drill. Petit Drill is great for dry cough.
Today, the doctor also attributed it to me for a strong cough throat. I also read that it helps to cough, but apparently it is used in the treatment of the throat
