Can the simultaneous use of Aglan and Novynette birth control pills cause spotting?

Good morning, I would like to know if taking Aglan 15 and Novynette birth control pills at the same time may have any connection with spotting that appeared after a short period of use of Aglan.

The meloxicam contained in Aglan does not affect the effectiveness of contraceptive pills. The spotting you mention does not have to be related to the simultaneous use of Aglan and Novynette contraceptive pills. In the literature you can find information about cases of bleeding and intermenstrual spotting during meloxicam treatment. Research on the mechanism of occurrence of this phenomenon is ongoing.
