In the leaflet it is written that the drug works on hot flashes and sweating, while on various portals there are information that it also works on sleep and irritability. Why such a discrepancy?

Most likely, this is due to the fact that symptoms such as hot flashes and excessive sweating can have an indirect effect on the quality of sleep and thus cause irritability during the day. Thus, since the drug reduces the symptoms of menopause (hot flashes and excessive sweating), it also indirectly acts on the associated insomnia and irritability. Some sources may only give indications from the leaflet, others also describe the additional benefits of using the drug - hence the discrepancy. In the Safety Data Sheet of Remifemin, which in my opinion is a reliable source of information, we can read: "Clinical pharmacology studies indicate that menopausal ailments (such as heat surges and excessive sweating) can be alleviated during treatment with rhizome products of bedbug (Cimicifuga racemosa). The mechanism of action and the components responsible for relieving menopausal symptoms are not known."
