W leczeniu wysiłkowego nietrzymania moczu znajdują zastosowanie przede wszystkim inhibitory zwrotnego wychwytu serotoniny i noradrenaliny (np. duloksetyna) oraz leki o działaniu alfa-adrenomimetycznym, wywołujące wzrost napięcia zwieracza wewnętrznego cewki moczowej.

Solifenacyna - substancja czynna leku Zevesin - to antagonista receptora muskarynowego M3, która stosowana jest w objawowym leczeniu naglącego nietrzymania moczu i/lub częstomoczu oraz parcia naglącego, które mogą występować u osób z zespołem pęcherza nadreaktywnego. Lek ten raczej nie znajduje zastosowania w wysiłkowym nietrzymaniu moczu.
