Could a pale dash on a pregnancy test after an hour mean I'm pregnant?
hey. I have a question. I did a lot of pregnancy tests every time negative and so remained (after a few hours also negative). Now I co-lived during ovulation and performed the test 6 days before the expected menstruation after 5 minutes was negative. But after 1 hour the second pale line showed up, I did the test again in the morning and also the same. Never before has this happened to me or does it mean that I increase the level of hcg but it is not so much yet? Best regards

Pregnancy tests should only be read after the time specified by the manufacturer - no longer or shorter. The test read after an hour is not reliable, and the observed staining may be the result of other chemical reactions unrelated to the presence of chorionic gonadotropin in the urine.

Test ciążowy należy odczytywać wyłącznie po czasie określonym przez producenta, nie dłuższym. Test odczytywany po godzinie nie ma żadnej wartości diagnostycznej i nie jest wiarygodny. Wybarwienie może być efektem utleniania lub innych reakcji chemicznych nie związanych z obecnością gonadotropiny kosmówkowej.
Jeśli współżyła Pani w okresie płodnym, to oczywiście jest możliwość, że jest Pani w ciąży. Potwierdzeniem będzie jednak wykonany prawidłowo test ciążowy, badanie laboratoryjne na poziom gonadotropiny kosmówkowej we krwi czy wizualizacja ciąży i jej stwierdzenie podczas badania ginekologicznego.
