Preparaty zawierające wyciągi z Ashwagandhy mogą być przyjmowane u kobiet stosujących krążki dopochwowe, np. Ginoring.

Jeśli chodzi o wyciągi z Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus) należy zachować ostrożność, gdyż zawarte w nich saponiny mogą wykazywać działanie hormonopodobne. Badania na szczurach dowiodły, że wyciągi ze wspomnianej rośliny, zwłaszcza w wysokich dawkach powodowały wzrost stężenia hormonów LH, FSH, estradiolu i progesteronu. Dalsze badania są potrzebne aby jednoznacznie określić wpływ Shatavari na płodność i skuteczność antykoncepcji hormonalnej.
