Sometimes one of the side effects of Velaxin ER is weight loss. After stopping the drug, it may return to normal, which may give the impression of a sudden increase in weight. Another possibility is that stopping Velaxin ER may be associated with a recurrence of depression, which can lead to eating disorders and thus weight gain.
