Can I swim in the pool if I have crackling, scratching or even shooting inside both knees?

For a month now I have had crackling, scratching and even shooting inside both knees, which intensifies when bending the knees, as well as knee pain that occurs when sitting for a short time with bent knees. I also feel a hug under my knees. I have a visit to the Orthopedist in 1.5 months. Can I swim in the pool with these ailments? Will there be no dislocation (displacement) of the patella in the knee during swimming?

In general, swimming in the pool can be beneficial for people with joint ailments, as water provides light support and reduces the strain on the joints. As for concerns about dislocation of the patella during swimming, swimming is not considered a risk factor for this type of injury. Generally, in case of knee joint problems, it is recommended to avoid movements that intensify pain and discomfort. As a pharmacist, I am not able to diagnose your condition or provide a full assessment of your ailments, I can only give general guidance. The described knee joint ailments require in-depth diagnostics under the supervision of a specialist.
