The antibiotic Cetix may cause watery and severe diarrhoea, which may be bloody. Blood in the stool can stain it black. According to the leaflet, severe and watery diarrhoea is an indication for discontinuation of therapy. If the child did not eat food or medicines that could stain the stool (such as medicinal charcoal) and the stool was of normal consistency, I encourage you to consult black stool with a doctor. You can also use the teleadvice offered, m.in. by the Gdziepolek.pl portal: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja/z-pediatra I also encourage you to report the occurrence of black stool as an adverse reaction of the drug. Reporting adverse reactions allows you to increase control over medicines available on the market. We wrote more about how and why to report side effects in the article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane I enclose a link to check the availability of Cetix and make a reservation at the selected pharmacy: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/89646/cetix-granulat-do-wytworzenia-zawiesiny/apteki I encourage you to familiarize yourself with additional materials that may be useful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czy-bac-sie-dzialan-niepozadanych-lekow https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-bezstresowo-podac-lek-dziecku
