Cholera is an acute diarrheal disease caused by a bacterium called cholera comma. You may become ill as a result of non-application of hygiene rules and after ingestion of water or food products contaminated with human and carrier manuity. The most effective way to protect against getting sick is vaccination, which further reduces the risk of dangerous complications.
