Citronil (citalopram), like any other medicine, can cause side effects, but they will not affect everyone. They are usually mild and disappear spontaneously within the first weeks of treatment. The most common side effects of Citronil include increased sweating, dry mouth, insomnia, drowsiness, diarrhoea, nausea and tiredness.
