Does the teraputic effect start again if you forget to take a psychotropic drug on a given day? If so, how many max hours can be breaks and will not affect the treatment ? eg Sertagen

In the case of Sertagen, if used chronically, a single omission of a dose does not significantly affect the therapeutic effect. This is because sertraline (the active substance of Sertagen) and its metabolites have a long half-life, i.e. the period after which half the dose remains in the body. It is for sertalin from 22 to 36 h, for its metabolite from 62 - 102h. Sertagen is best taken at fixed times of the day to maintain a constant concentration of the drug in the body. Looking at the half-life of sertraline, I think that a delay in taking the next dose of the drug by 22-36 hours should not significantly affect the therapeutic effect. Of course, you should watch the regular intake of the drug and do not allow a situation when the dose of Sertagen will be missed.
