Can I take a probiotic before laparoscopic gallbladder excision?

Good morning, the gastrologist prescribed me Xifaxan /for 7 days/ and then for 30 days to take the probiotic Alflorex Symbiosys. I will finish taking Alflorex on February 25. On March 9, I have a date for laparoscopic gallbladder excision, i.e. 11 days after the end of taking the probiotic. Therefore, I have doubts whether this is not too short a time from the end of taking the probiotic and the procedure. Thank you very much for your reply.

Taking a probiotic is not a contraindication to laparoscopic gallbladder excision. There are no contraindications to taking a probiotic - the preparation acts on the intestinal microflora and will not interfere, for example, with drugs used during the procedure. You can take a probiotic until the procedure.
