Can I suddenly stop taking Paroxetine after so many years and start taking Vortioxetine?

Hello, I've been on Paroxetine, Xanax and Propranolol for several years The last months can be difficult so the doctor replaced paroxetine with Vortioxetine. Can I suddenly stop taking Paroxetine after so many years and start taking Vortioxetine? Thanks in advance for your reply

Up to @Pawe ł: Withdrawal symptoms are also observed when changing from one antidepressant to another. They are sometimes misinterpreted as side effects of a new drug or worsening of the disease, which can also mistakenly lead to the conclusion that the new medicine does not work.

But I have saved varioxetine and whether it will not reduce the withdrawal effects of paroxetine - the doctor recommended the change from day to day - paroxetine I took 30 mg a day - now for a week I am on 20 mg and I have light effects that you described

In the case of sudden discontinuation of the drug with paroxetine used for a long time (in this case several years), withdrawal symptoms may occur: dizziness, sensory disturbances (numbness, tingling, feeling of electric shock and ringing in the ears), sleep disturbances, nausea, diarrhoea, headaches, fast and irregular heart rhythm (palpitations), tremors, increased sweating, visual disturbances, feeling agitated, anxious, irritated or difficult to realize by the patient, where it is located (disorientation). Your doctor should tell you how to reduce your dose slowly, over a period of several weeks or months. This should reduce the likelihood of withdrawal symptoms. One way is to gradually reduce the dose of paroxetine by 10 mg per week.
