I use Siofor, Forxiga, I have been on a diet for several months and I still do not lose weight - why?

I have been diagnosed with insulin resistance. In the family diabetic stories . With a height of 164 cm, a vase of 70 kg. Accepts 1x forxiga 10 and siofor 850 x 2. Weight, despite the diet for several months, stands still and does not fall. Why is this happening? Apparently forxiga works wonders and for me nothing ....

I used siofor 1000 two pills in the evening for a year and I didn't even know that I lost 25 kg because of these pills. And I'd like to add that I'm not overweight at the moment. That's why my doctor withdrew them from me.

Forxiga or Siofor drugs are not drugs that will cause weight loss on their own. However, they are a certain help for the body that helps to get out of the vicious circle of hormonal disorders that can hinder weight loss and may be one of the reasons for the lack of effects, but in most situations these are still primarily dietary errors. A person who wants to lose weight in a healthy way should lose about 0.5-1% of their body weight per week. For example, a person who weighs 70 kg should lose between 0.35 and 0.7 kg per week. If you have been using medicines, diet, changed your eating habits for several months and still have no effects, most cases in such a situation the reason for failures in weight loss is simply that you are still not in a caloric deficit, i.e. you still eat as many calories as the body needs to maintain the current state or more (then in the long run we gain weight). In the vast majority of cases, and perhaps also in your case, the reason for the lack of effects is simply still inadequate caloric content of the diet and composition of meals or lack of adequate physical activity. It is worth looking at how exactly the diet looks like, write down everything you eat and drink and count what caloric demand you currently have and draw conclusions from it. Your experienced dietitian will help you best. It is very likely that this is where the answer to your question lies. On the other hand, the causes of caloric excess, snacking or less physical activity can be a lot - from overestimating the amount of calories burned, to psychological causes, which are also an important element of treatment.
