Can Metformin cause an epileptic seizure?

Can metformin cause seizures of epilepsy?/treated with antiepileptic drugs/, I mean, or there may be a drop in sugar as a result of which an epileptic attack may occur

Metformin does not stimulate insulin secretion and thus does not cause hypoglycemia, i.e. a significant reduction in blood sugar levels. Caution is recommended only if it is used with insulin or other oral antidiabetic drugs (e.g. sulphonylureas or meglitinides). According to the available data, metformin does not increase the risk of an epileptic seizure.
