Stosowanie leku Mysimba jest przeciwwskazane w okresie bezpośrednio po nagłym odstawieniu benzodiazepin (np. Sedam) u osoby przyjmującej benzodziazepiny przez dłuższy czas, u których doszło do rozwoju uzależnienia od leku.
Decyzję o tym, jak długi okres musi minąć od zaprzestania stosowania leku Sedam do momentu, kiedy terapia lekiem Mysimba może zostać bezpiecznie rozpoczęta, może podjąć jedynie lekarz prowadzący, mający wgląd do historii choroby i stosowanych dotychczas leków.
